Wandering New York

Not all those who wander are lost.
— a line from the poem All that is gold does not glitter, written by J. R. R. Tolkien for The Lord of the Rings. Not All Who Wander Are Lost (album), a 2001 album by Chris Thile.

This short film by Morten Rustad aims to give a brief portrait of what it feels like to wander around New York City. These 3 minutes will hopefully give you the impression of being right in the city. The video has a rather dark and dismal look-and-feel. Places shoot includes some of the typical tourist spots, but also areas rather few normally visit. It recreates some of the mood and magic someone finds when wandering New York. It was shot over the course of only two days and was originally just a camera test of the Panasonic Lumix GH4. Shot with the Syrp Variable ND-filter. Music: 'Palette With Opposite Intentions' by Ugress.
